From anthropology to tourism, there are more than 130 courses at UNCG that focus on sustainability in undergraduate and graduate programs. If you really want to embed yourself in sustainable studies, you can apply to be a resident of Strong College, located in Guilford Hall, which focuses on sustainability through hands-on research and fieldwork through courses designed to generate a new perspective on both local and global settings.

Strong College

Through a variety of approaches to learning, with the goal of understanding sustainability and its broader implications, students in Strong College take Core courses and RC courses that fulfill General Education (GEC) requirements. In addition to participating in small seminar classes as well as larger sections of RC courses, Strong College students participate in governing in their own community through committee work and council meetings.
