Environmental Justice Film and Discussion Panel
Join us for a screening of “Unbreathable: The Fight For Healthy Air,” a film by Maggie Burnette Stogner that details the challenges we still face to ensure healthy air for everyone. Weaving historical milestones of fifty years of the Clean Air Act with current day stories of environmental injustice, the film is an excellent catalyst for engagement and action.
Following the 30 min. film, we will be joined by Kennedy Williams of Clean Aire NC, Dr. Valerie Ann Johnson of NC Environmental Justice Network, and Dr. Bhuwan Thapa from the Geography, Environment, and Sustainability Department at UNCG for a panelist Q&A.
If you can’t attend in-person, please register for the live virtual webinar option.
Food and beverages will be provided. Sponsored by the Student Government Association and the UNCG Green Fund.
