Resiliency & Direct Action Workshops
Come learn with us on November 20 & 21, 4-5pm!
Aidan Loretz, (UNCG, Sociology ’24), a Community Organizer with Haw River Assembly, will facilitate a 2-day workshop on ways to build resiliency and take direct action in response to climate change. Research and education must be paired with action and advocacy, and by the end of the workshop, students will be prepared to engage directly in their community on a local issue. This workshop is a preview of Haw River Assembly’s upcoming Climate Resiliency Curriculum, offered to any UNCG students and employees interested in attending to learn resources and skills to take localized action. Students and faculty will be asked to provide feedback on the content and structure of the curriculum.
Attendance both days is highly recommended. If you cannot attend both days, please let us know in the comment section below. Light refreshments will be served.
